The City of Las Vegas is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Weekend Maintenance Technician to join our Public Works team. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship and are committed to keeping our community safe and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on city-owned vehicles, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance work orders and emergency repairs during assigned weekend shifts.
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities, parks, and infrastructure to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring sufficient stock levels for upcoming shifts.
- Collaborate with city staff and contractors to coordinate large-scale maintenance projects.
- Document all work performed accurately in the maintenance management system.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational certification in a related trade is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in general maintenance or facility management.
- Valid Nevada Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry practices is a plus.
