Responsibilities
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical emergency services during weekend shifts
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation using CAD/RMS systems
- Provide clear, concise instructions to first responders during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major weekend events
- Monitor surveillance systems and radio communications 24/7
- Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed
- Participate in continuous training for new protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year public safety dispatch or emergency services experience
- Valid California POST Public Safety Dispatcher certification
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Strong multi-tasking and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish skills highly desirable
