Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned municipal facilities to prevent unauthorized access and security breaches
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms during weekend hours
- Conduct routine security checks and document incidents in compliance with city protocols
- Collaborate with emergency services during weekend incidents or emergencies
- Issue visitor passes and enforce access control policies for weekend events
- Prepare detailed weekend shift activity reports for senior officers
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Security Guard License (SGL) required
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays (6 AM - 10 PM)
- Proficient in CCTV operation and access control systems
- CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during weekend shifts
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening required
