Responsibilities
- Process, file, and maintain confidential public records in compliance with Georgia state regulations
- Respond to in-person and phone inquiries from citizens regarding permits, licenses, and public documents
- Verify document authenticity and assist with notarization services as authorized
- Operate county databases and document management systems with precision
- Coordinate weekend document retrieval requests with weekday records staff
- Prepare weekly activity reports and maintain accurate transaction logs
- Adhere to all county security protocols for sensitive information handling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in public administration preferred
- 1+ years experience in records management, clerical work, or customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital document management systems
- Ability to pass background check and county security clearance requirements
- Excellent communication skills with diverse populations
- Strong attention to detail with error-proof documentation abilities
- Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Basic knowledge of Georgia public records laws and Sunshine Act
