Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points to government facilities to ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and sensitive information.
- Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the facility to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms, fire emergencies, and security incidents in accordance with established protocols.
- Prepare detailed written incident reports and maintain accurate security logs.
- Enforce all facility rules, regulations, and federal laws to maintain order.
- Assist with visitor screening and identification verification processes.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status is required for federal government roles.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and rotating shifts.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or the military is highly preferred.
- Excellent observation skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
