Responsibilities
- Process citizen inquiries and applications for state benefits (SNAP, Medicaid, TANF) via phone, email, and in-person channels
- Maintain accurate digital records using state-certified database systems
- Coordinate weekend shift operations with weekday teams for seamless service delivery
- Prepare weekly compliance reports for departmental leadership review
- Support community outreach events during weekend hours as needed
- Train and mentor new weekend staff on departmental protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- 2+ years administrative experience in government/nonprofit settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and state database systems
- Valid Illinois driver's license (for occasional off-site duties)
- Spanish bilingual certification or fluency (required for Spanish-speaking caseloads)
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays with rotating holidays
- Pass criminal background check and fingerprinting
