Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during weekend shifts
- Conduct security rounds, headcounts, and perimeter checks
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts professionally
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Screen visitors and control access points
- Collaborate with law enforcement and medical teams
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Florida Class 'D' Security Officer license
- Successful completion of background investigation
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to work flexible weekend schedule (Fri/Sat/Sun)
- Physical fitness for standing/walking for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- No felony convictions
