Responsibilities
- Patrol park grounds, trails, and recreational facilities to ensure visitor safety and compliance with park regulations
- Provide visitor assistance, information, and emergency response during weekend operations
- Monitor environmental conditions and report hazards, wildlife sightings, or maintenance issues
- Conduct educational outreach programs on weekend conservation topics
- Enforce park rules and regulations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with law enforcement during weekend events or incidents
- Maintain detailed incident reports and patrol documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in environmental science, criminal justice, or related field preferred
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience in outdoor recreation, public safety, or customer service
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Physical ability to patrol rugged terrain and lift up to 50 pounds
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
