Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure and servers during the weekend shift.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by state employees via remote support channels.
- Ensure compliance with state security protocols and data privacy regulations.
- Document all technical interventions and system changes accurately.
- Collaborate with the on-site IT team to escalate critical issues.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar technical role.
- Proven ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of remote desktop tools, VPNs, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Must reside within the El Paso, TX area for this Remote position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
