Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair athletic fields, playground equipment, and landscaping areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
- Monitor park facilities to ensure cleanliness, enforce safety regulations, and respond promptly to public inquiries.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, tractors, and irrigation systems.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as trash removal, graffiti removal, and seasonal snow removal.
- Collaborate with park supervisors and fellow staff to coordinate daily tasks and special projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid Wisconsin Driverβs License (or ability to obtain one) is required.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping principles, horticulture, or construction is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings, as needed.
- Strong commitment to customer service, community integrity, and environmental stewardship.
