Responsibilities
- Investigate child abuse/neglect reports within legal timeframes
- Develop and implement safety plans for at-risk children
- Coordinate with law enforcement, medical providers, and schools
- Document case notes and maintain confidential records
- Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed support
- Testify in court proceedings and administrative hearings
- Collaborate with community resources for family preservation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Texas Child Protective Services certification (or obtain within 6 months)
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience in crisis intervention or case management preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with emotional resilience
- Proficiency in case management software (e.g., IMPACT)
- Pass background check and drug screening
