Responsibilities
- Guide clients through state benefit applications (SNAP, Medicaid, TANF) with accuracy and empathy
- Conduct eligibility screenings and document case information in state systems
- Collaborate with community organizations to expand outreach initiatives
- Maintain confidential records while ensuring compliance with state regulations
- Participate in quarterly training on policy updates and system changes
- Generate monthly impact reports for program evaluation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
- 1+ years experience in social services or benefits coordination
- Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification strongly preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events
- Pass background check and fingerprinting per state requirements
