Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail & Packages: Safely and efficiently deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a timely manner.
- Customer Service: Provide a positive and professional customer service experience, handling mail orders and collecting payments when required.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is in safe operating condition.
- Mail Processing: Sort and process incoming mail accurately to ensure efficient distribution.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all postal safety regulations and protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Route Management: Maintain knowledge of the assigned route, including address changes and delivery locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A current and valid state driver’s license is required.
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and walk for long distances in various weather conditions.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check, including a criminal history review and a drug test.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact courteously with the public.
