Responsibilities
- Sort and Deliver: Sort mail and packages efficiently and deliver them along an assigned route on foot or using a vehicle.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and resolve any delivery issues.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a postal vehicle to transport mail between the Post Office and delivery points.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy parcels, walking long distances, and standing for extended periods.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and postal procedures to ensure safe operations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of delivery activities and ensure proper postage payment.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Driver's License: Valid state driver's license required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
