Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to customers along a designated route in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
- Sort mail and packages efficiently before and after delivery to ensure organized workflow.
- Obtain required signatures for certified and registered mail.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, including those with disabilities or limited English proficiency.
- Maintain the physical condition and cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
- Follow strict security and safety protocols to ensure the safety of employees and the public.
- Manage cash handling and postage meter operations accurately.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or possess a valid Alien Registration Card.
- Must possess a current, valid state driver's license (or be able to obtain one within 30 days).
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
