As a City Clerk, you will serve as the backbone of municipal operations, ensuring that our community's records are managed with the highest level of integrity and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain official meeting minutes, agendas, and records for the City Council and various boards.
- Manage the City’s filing system, ensuring strict compliance with state and local retention schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, businesses, and visitors inquiring about city services.
- Coordinate public hearings and special events, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Process official documents, ordinances, and resolutions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the administration of elections and voter registration processes.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with city policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or Business is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clerical, administrative, or government setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to proofread and edit documents effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Colorado state laws regarding public records and open meetings.
