Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and minutes
- Administer oaths of office and serve as custodian of the city seal
- Coordinate public records requests in compliance with Ohio public records law
- Support City Council meetings by preparing agendas, minutes, and documentation
- Oversee municipal election processes and voter registration systems
- Process and file all official city contracts and legal documents
- Manage city clerk department budget and personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Ohio Notary Public certification required
- Proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep knowledge of Ohio Sunshine Laws and municipal governance
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
