Responsibilities
- Manage, preserve, and provide access to official city records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Oversee city elections, including ballot preparation, polling place coordination, and compliance with election laws
- Prepare and maintain accurate minutes for City Council and Board of Ethics meetings
- Administer oaths of office and public notary services for municipal transactions
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure timely, compliant responses
- Lead records digitization initiatives and modernize document management systems
- Advise elected officials on parliamentary procedure and legislative documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep understanding of Colorado Sunshine Law and open records regulations
- Excellent written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Valid Colorado Notary Public commission or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Experience with election administration processes preferred
