Responsibilities
- Oversee official municipal records, meeting minutes, and public document archives with meticulous accuracy
- Manage election logistics, voter registration, and compliance with state/federal election laws
- Process public records requests within statutory timelines while maintaining confidentiality protocols
- Administer municipal licenses, permits, and business registrations with customer-focused efficiency
- Coordinate City Council agendas, public hearings, and legislative documentation
- Develop and implement records retention policies aligned with Oklahoma statutes
- Serve as the primary liaison between citizens and city government for administrative inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or public sector experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Expertise in Oklahoma Open Records Act and Sunshine Law compliance
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Exceptional written communication skills with demonstrated report-writing capabilities
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
