Responsibilities
- Oversee official city records, ordinances, and council minutes ensuring legal compliance and accessibility
- Manage municipal elections including voter registration, ballot preparation, and polling coordination
- Facilitate City Council meetings with precise agenda management and documentation
- Administer public records requests within statutory timeframes while maintaining confidentiality
- Lead city charter amendments and municipal code updates
- Serve as custodian for official city seals and legal documents
- Coordinate with state agencies for regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal government records management
- Florida Municipal Clerk certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Expertise in public records laws (Chapter 119, Florida Statutes)
- Proficiency with municipal software systems (e.g., Tyler Technologies)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Proven attention to detail with legal document handling
