Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and archival documents
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Administer oaths of office and notarial services for city officials
- Prepare and distribute City Council meeting agendas and minutes
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure compliance with open meeting laws
- Manage city licensing and permitting systems for residents and businesses
- Serve as liaison between city departments and the public on administrative matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Massachusetts public records laws and election procedures
- Advanced proficiency with document management systems and municipal software
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting official documents
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Valid Massachusetts Notary Public commission
