Responsibilities
- Manage, preserve, and provide access to all official city records and documents
- Prepare and maintain detailed minutes for City Council and Board meetings
- Oversee municipal elections, including ballot preparation and certification
- Process public records requests while ensuring compliance with open records laws
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seals
- Coordinate legislative tracking and ordinance management
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens, council members, and city departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in municipal government records management
- Proficiency with document management systems and public records software
- Deep knowledge of Texas open records laws and municipal governance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Experience with meeting software and digital archiving systems
