Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain official city records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Prepare agendas and minutes for Common Council meetings
- Lead city clerk department staff and operations
- Coordinate with county/state election authorities
- Support civic engagement through public outreach programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or public records experience
- Certification as Municipal Clerk (IMC preferred)
- Proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Expertise in election administration and voter laws
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
