Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with precision
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot integrity
- Process public records requests while maintaining legal compliance
- Coordinate City Council agendas, hearings, and public notices
- Administer oaths of office and notary services for city officials
- Maintain legislative history and codification of municipal codes
- Serve as clerk for the Board of Adjustment and Zoning Board
- Lead records management and document retention programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal clerk or records management experience
- Arizona Municipal Clerk certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in open meeting laws (ARS 38-431) and public records statutes
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and document systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written communication and public speaking abilities
- Valid Arizona driver's license and clean driving record
