Responsibilities
- Administer official city records, including ordinances, resolutions, and minutes with precision
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes in compliance with state regulations
- Manage public records requests and ensure timely, accurate responses
- Prepare and maintain official city council agendas, packets, and documentation
- Coordinate legislative tracking and codification of municipal code
- Lead public records retention and destruction programs
- Provide administrative support to City Council meetings and public hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of California Public Records Act and Brown Act requirements
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Exceptional written communication and public speaking abilities
- Proven experience managing election processes and voter registration
- Valid California driver's license
