Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve official city records, ordinances, and minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot initiatives in compliance with state law
- Administer oaths of office, public records requests, and city charter amendments
- Lead legislative tracking for City Council meetings and public hearings
- Coordinate with county and state election officials for seamless election operations
- Develop records management systems ensuring accessibility and archival compliance
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and governmental bodies regarding public information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government or records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of Colorado election laws and open records statutes
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional written communication and public presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
