Responsibilities
- Manage official municipal records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Administer local elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Prepare and maintain the City's legislative agenda and commission packets
- Oversee city seal certification and public document authentication
- Lead records management systems and digital archiving initiatives
- Provide administrative support to the City Commission and advisory boards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of municipal government or records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) or Municipal Clerk Institute (MCI) preferred
- Proficiency in records management software and document imaging systems
- Deep knowledge of Kansas election law and open records statutes
- Exceptional attention to detail with proofreading and accuracy skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and public service orientation
