Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and archival documents with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare and certify official city documents, meeting minutes, and public notices
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and election compliance processes
- Provide public records requests and serve as primary liaison for information governance
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seal and records
- Coordinate with city council and legal teams on legislative documentation
- Implement records retention policies and digital archiving systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government or records management experience
- Texas Certified Municipal Clerk (TCMC) or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Expertise in Texas open records laws (Government Code Chapter 552)
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deadlines
