Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Coordinate all City Council meetings, including agenda preparation, public notices, and minute documentation
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes in compliance with state regulations
- Serve as the primary liaison between city departments and the public for records requests
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seals and documents
- Implement and maintain records management systems for electronic and physical archives
- Ensure compliance with open records laws and governmental transparency requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Proficiency in records management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep knowledge of Texas open records laws and municipal governance procedures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost discretion and integrity
- Proven experience managing public meetings and election processes
