Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and minutes
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Administer oaths of office and public notary services
- Coordinate public records requests and FOIA compliance
- Lead digital transformation of records management systems
- Advise City Council on legislative procedures and records
- Develop public engagement initiatives for civic transparency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- 5+ years in municipal government records management
- Michigan Notary Public certification
- Advanced proficiency in records management software
- Experience leading election administration processes
- Deep knowledge of Michigan Open Meetings Act and FOIA
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
