Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, and resolutions with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee public information requests, ensuring timely and compliant responses per Pennsylvania Sunshine Act
- Coordinate municipal elections and voter registration initiatives in collaboration with election boards
- Prepare and authenticate official documents including contracts, permits, and legislative acts
- Administer oaths of office and notarial services for city officials and constituents
- Develop and implement records management systems to optimize document accessibility and retention
- Serve as liaison between city departments and the public regarding official records and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal records management or government compliance
- Deep knowledge of Pennsylvania Sunshine Act and open records regulations
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex procedures clearly
