Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, documents, and archives with digital preservation protocols
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot initiatives
- Prepare and certify City Council meeting agendas, minutes, and legislative actions
- Administer oaths, permits, and official city business licenses
- Develop public information systems ensuring citizen access to government data
- Coordinate interdepartmental records management compliance
- Lead public records requests (CPRA) responses within legal timeframes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government experience with records management
- California Election Official Certification preferred
- Expertise in public records laws (CPRA, FOIA)
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Proven leadership managing public-facing services
- Valid California driver's license
