Responsibilities
- Records Management: Maintain and organize official city documents, meeting minutes, and historical archives with the highest level of accuracy.
- Public Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for the public and City Council members, answering inquiries and directing visitors professionally.
- Meeting Support: Prepare agendas, take accurate minutes during City Council meetings, and distribute post-meeting packets.
- Administrative Duties: Perform complex data entry, process invoices, and handle correspondence for the Mayor and City Secretary.
- Compliance: Ensure all filing and record-keeping practices comply with state and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative or clerical experience in a government or corporate office environment.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of document management systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse audiences.
- Character: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate high ethical standards.
