Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive zoning ordinance reviews and land use planning initiatives
- Analyze demographic data to inform equitable development strategies
- Coordinate with city officials and community stakeholders on major infrastructure projects
- Oversee environmental compliance reviews for county developments
- Prepare professional reports and presentations for county commissioners
- Manage GIS mapping systems for land allocation analysis
- Supervise junior planning staff and interns
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal/county government planning experience
- Texas AICP certification required
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS Pro)
- Strong analytical skills with demographic interpretation experience
- Excellent written communication for policy documentation
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
