Key Responsibilities:
As a Federal Administrative Specialist, you will be the backbone of our office operations. Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing complex executive calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Preparing, editing, and proofreading correspondence, briefing papers, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Processing personnel actions, timecards, leave requests, and expense reports with precision and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Maintaining an organized filing system for both electronic and physical records to ensure compliance with federal retention policies.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Assisting with internal audits and the preparation of regulatory documentation.
Qualifications:
- Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a government security clearance.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience within a federal, military, or highly regulated government setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and government-specific software (e.g., ePAWS, JAMS).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse audiences.
