Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with the highest level of accuracy.
- Receive and process applications, permits, and licenses for city residents and businesses.
- Answer incoming inquiries from the public and provide accurate information regarding city services, procedures, and policies.
- Prepare and distribute agendas for city council meetings and assist in the execution of official board meetings.
- Perform data entry tasks, maintain digital filing systems, and ensure all documentation complies with legal standards.
- Assist the Office Manager with general administrative duties, including mail sorting, supply inventory, and reception duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate’s degree in business administration or public administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a government or public sector setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse population.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
