Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and preservation of all official municipal records, ordinances, and minutes
- Manage public records requests with strict adherence to Texas Public Information Act requirements
- Coordinate City Council agenda preparation, documentation, and meeting logistics
- Supervise records management systems and implement digital archiving solutions
- Administer oaths of office and notarization services for municipal documents
- Lead voter registration initiatives and election coordination duties
- Develop and maintain records retention policies compliant with state regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal clerk or records management experience
- Texas Certified Municipal Clerk (TCMC) certification preferred
- Expertise in Texas Public Information Act and Open Meetings Act compliance
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
