Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Administer oaths of office and public record requests
- Ensure compliance with Wisconsin open records laws and municipal codes
- Coordinate with city departments and external stakeholders
- Prepare and submit required state reports and documentation
- Lead departmental budget preparation and expenditure tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or records management experience
- Wisconsin Municipal Clerk certification or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency with record management software (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of election procedures and open records laws
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines
