Key Duties:
As a City Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the official documents and correspondence of the department, ensuring compliance with city ordinances, and assisting the public with inquiries regarding zoning, permits, and planning applications.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, and administrative correspondence.
- Assist the public and city officials with inquiries regarding planning applications, permits, and zoning information.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, packets, and official minutes for City Planning Commission meetings.
- Perform high-volume data entry and ensure accuracy in filing systems and digital databases.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of documents.
- Handle confidential information with strict adherence to privacy protocols and data security standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or Business is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, records management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with document management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
