Responsibilities
- Oversee all municipal records management, including ordinances, resolutions, and official minutes
- Administer public records requests and ensure compliance with Colorado open records laws
- Manage city elections, voter registration, and ballot processes
- Prepare and maintain official city documents, contracts, and administrative policies
- Serve as clerk for City Council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Coordinate municipal licensing and permit applications
- Supervise records retention and destruction protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government or public sector experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of Colorado Sunshine Law and municipal record regulations
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written communication and public interaction skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
