Responsibilities
- Design and oversee civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage systems, and public buildings.
- Review and approve construction plans and specifications for compliance with city codes and regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure project quality, safety, and adherence to timelines.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure financial accountability.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and city departments to facilitate project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, studies, and presentations for stakeholders and the public.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota or eligibility for reciprocity.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal or civil engineering project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction codes and standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
