Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal government systems and end-user hardware.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime for city services.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards.
- Document technical procedures and create user guides for government staff.
- Collaborate with city departments to identify technology needs and recommend solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of system logs, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor system performance and respond to critical alerts in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with government IT frameworks and data privacy regulations is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a government security clearance.
