Responsibilities
- Security & Supervision: Monitor inmate activities, maintain order, and prevent disturbances within the facility.
- Patrols: Conduct regular rounds of the facility and perimeter to ensure strict security protocols are followed.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to emergencies, including medical crises, fires, and inmate altercations.
- Documentation: Accurately complete incident reports, logs, and shift paperwork in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Enforce all facility rules, regulations, and state laws to ensure a safe environment for staff and inmates.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Background: No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors; must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
- Physical: Ability to pass a physical agility test and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or corrections is preferred but not always required.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
