Responsibilities
- Supervision: Monitor inmate behavior and activities to maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment during night shifts.
- Security: Conduct frequent cell searches, facility searches, and strip searches to prevent contraband introduction.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to emergencies, fights, or medical incidents within the facility.
- Documentation: Accurately complete incident reports, head counts, and shift logs.
- Program Support: Assist in the supervision of inmate work assignments and rehabilitation programs.
- Patrol: Patrol interior and exterior perimeters of the facility to ensure safety.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Criminal Record: No felony convictions; must pass a thorough background investigation and fingerprinting.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- License: Valid California Driverβs License is preferred.
- Physical: Ability to pass a physical fitness test and meet medical standards for law enforcement.
