Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray screening equipment and imaging technology to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Passenger Inspection: Perform thorough physical screenings of passengers, including pat-downs and the use of advanced imaging technology.
- Security Enforcement: Enforce all security directives, regulations, and laws to prevent unauthorized items from entering secure areas.
- Customer Service: Assist passengers with special needs, provide clear instructions, and de-escalate situations with professionalism and courtesy.
- Documentation: Complete all required documentation accurately and maintain a high standard of situational awareness.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow screeners and supervisors to maintain efficient checkpoint operations.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Criminal History: No felony convictions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and pass a medical examination.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
