Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency calls (911, non-emergency) with speed and accuracy.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical service units based on incident location and severity.
- Maintain real-time situational awareness and coordinate resources effectively during critical incidents.
- Accurately update and maintain incident logs and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) records.
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to callers in distress.
- Conduct routine training drills and participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in typing and computer operations (Microsoft Office suite).
- Must be willing to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
