Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the county's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for county staff.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local data privacy and security regulations.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular backups to prevent data loss.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement technology solutions that improve workflow.
- Provide technical support and training to non-technical staff members.
- Document all technical processes and maintain accurate service logs.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel between county facilities.
- Knowledge of government procurement processes and compliance standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
