Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions to support critical county operations.
- Oversee network security protocols, conduct regular vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to internal staff and external stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or a related technical role.
- Valid certification such as CCNP, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
