Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM alerts in real-time to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen network defenses.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents and cyber attacks during off-hours.
- Ensure compliance with NIST and federal cybersecurity regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices.
- Analyze security logs and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls.
- Ability to work independently and remain vigilant during night shift operations.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
