Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic for security threats using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and execute breach mitigation
- Implement NIST cybersecurity frameworks across systems
- Collaborate with IT teams on security policy development
- Document security procedures and compliance reports
- Provide cybersecurity training to department personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT security roles
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, or similar tools
- Knowledge of FISMA and federal security protocols
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
